About me

I'm a Dutch fullstack web developer based in Etten-Leur, in the south of the Netherlands, near the Belgian border.

I've been building software since the early 1990s. What started with teaching myself BASIC and Pascal on my first computer grew into a full career as a developer: I studied BIK (Bestuurlijke Informatiekunde, a combination of Economics and Computer Science) at Tilburg University, and I've been shipping software professionally ever since — from systems programming and game development to early web programming and the modern JavaScript ecosystem and full-stack applications. I co-founded two technology businesses (ZZICT, NN Software) and have spent the past 17+ years at ProMedia Group building and maintaining the web infrastructure behind a network of trade publications and industry events, including CMS development, custom plugins, event registration systems, and integrations with cloud platforms such as Salesforce, Exact Online, and Pardot.
